Exposing Planned Parenthood

The Foundation for Moral Law filed an amicus brief in the U.S. Supreme Court today on behalf of David Daleiden and the Center for Medical Progress in their case against Planned Parenthood. Read the brief here.

Daleiden and the Center went undercover to interview Planned Parenthood officials and employees about their practice of harvesting and selling the organs of unborn babies. When Daleiden made these interviews public, many were shocked at the actions of Planned Parenthood, not just in promoting abortion but in harvesting and selling body parts, and various states and organizations cut off their funding of Planned Parenthood.

Planned Parenthood responded by suing Daleiden for invading their privacy and conspiring with others to deprive them of their constitutional rights. Daleiden responded that his actions and exposes were protected by the free speech and free press clauses of the First Amendment.

Judge Roy Moore, Founder and President Emeritus of the Foundation, declared, "It is an outrage that Planned Parenthood is allowed to engage in butchery and mayhem, while the liberal press looks the other way and their allies in government back them. David Daleiden is an American hero for exposing Planned Parenthood's atrocious actions"

Foundation Senior Counsel John Eidsmoe added, "One purpose of the First Amendment is to protect ordinary Americans who discover and expose the truth, against rich and powerful forces that would suppress the truth." He added, "It is an old maxim of law that one who sues in equity must come with clean hands. Planned Parenthood's hands are not only unclean; they are dripping with the blood of unborn babies."
